An important part of our mission at The Deck House School is to help each student identify and develop an interest. Students who spend time doing something they are passionate about gain a sense of accomplishment and increase their self confidence. Many of these activities involve a one-on-one partnership with a member of the community. In the past we have found local experts to teach music, pottery, welding, boatbuilding, photography and darkroom techniques, drama, sewing, woodworking, and silk screening. We are always on the lookout for new activities and local talent to keep this program focused on our students' interests.
